Fudgey, decadent, not too sweet but very chocolatey! Great with a glass of milk! The only adaptation was 100g dark choco chips and 50g white choco chips, also no toppings. My son had a slice while it was still warm and absolutely loved loved loved it. We aren’t big chocolate fans but wanted to test the waters, and definitely a big fan now!!
Currently also waiting for your oatmeal and raisin cookies to cool!!

I made this cake for our WI meeting earlier this month. It was utterly delicious and enjoyed by everyone. I only mentioned afterwards that courgettes had been included. Lots of surprised faces and comments. I’ll definitely make this again and again.

I have just made this cake. It is utterly delicious.😋
I squeezed some of the water from courgettes and used sugar instead of the honey. Also, drizzled plenty of melted dark chocolate over it. This recipe is a keeper.

Absolutely brilliant recipe. I always look for ‘no refined sugar recipes’ and am thrilled with this. Best of all, it uses up my glut of homegrown courgettes and the grandchildren love it!

In reply to Karen wray. It just means it needed a little longer baking! If your chocolate had a lower cocoa content for example, that can cause this!

Loaf sunk when took it out of the oven. It was cooked in the middle . What did I do wrong.. I usually have great success with your recipes.

If I want to make this for my vegan friend, what should I replace the eggs with please? I usually use apple sauce but notice you are adding white vinegar?
