This was SO GOOD!! I used whiskey instead but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. It was easy to follow the directions and so much better than anything I have ever had in a restaurant.

I’m so upset I haven’t seen this recipe on your website until now! This was amazingly delicious, the soy and Worcestershire sauces, and the slight hint of sweetness from the sugar – MMMM *chefs kiss* I’ll definitely be adding this one to my rotation. So are we using grated or sliced cheese? How much grated cheese is equivalent to a slice? I’d rather use slices; they’re easier to manage than shreds.

We made some recently with Guinness in the broth and it was super good … then I went out to a restaurant a few days after that and had the worst French onion soup EVER. It was all bread, and there was no broth as it had soaked into the bread to much, so I just had a few spoonfuls of disgusting soggy bread, and then gave up. Yours looks great!
